Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter review

Source!
 Hey Everyone!
Highlighter is the key to a finished and flawless looking face.  This particular product reflects light and has the ability to high light certain features on your face by lending some shine to it.  There are many different kinds of high lighters out there, liquid, powder, shimmery, glittery or luminescent.  I find glittery highlighters more appropriate for a night out clubbing or for parties.  For a more natural no makeup look, i prefer luminescent high lighters, more specifically, the Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter.

Color/Consistency
This highlighter in the tube is a beautiful pearly pink color.  There is absolutely no glitter in this highlighter, and it has a very creamy consistency but is super light and blends very well.  It also has a fresh scent, which i love.

Over all effect
The arbonne sheer glow liquid highlighter gives off a really nice dewy effect.  All though in the tube it is pearly pink, once it's well blended the pink disappears.  When i first tried out this product, i was disappointing with the results because I didn't see anything left on my face once I had finished blending, but once I actually took a good look I realized that my cheekbones were glowing.  It looked like I had naturally soft and glowing cheekbones.  The thing to remember is that it's a SHEER glow highlighter, which means that once blended properly there is no color, and no glitter or sparkles.  I pair this highlighter with NARS deep throat, and I've gotten countless compliments on my 'amazing cheeks' because combined, these two products make my cheeks look healthy, flushed and glowing.

This picture was taken on a different day and in different lighting.
Nevertheless, i hope that you can see the glow.
Packaging
There's not much to say about the packaging.  It's really nothing special, however i really like how sleek and understated it is.  I've never liked makeup with bright, flashy packaging (with the exception of Benefit cosmetics!). It is a thin but long silver squeeze tube with a matallic black cap.  The product can be easily squeezed out, and it is easy to control the amount of product that comes out.  I recommend shaking it before each use. The lettering on the tube is black and appears to be a combination of Century Gothic and either Ariel or Ariel Narrow, but I'm not sure...not that it really matters.

 Size/Price
For $40 you get 1 fl. OZ of product.  Although $40 may seem like much for a liquid highlighter, you have to remember that for the price you're getting an all-natural highlighter that applies and looks beautiful and is the size of the standard bottle of foundation.  Since you only need a little bit of this per use, it will last a long time, therefore I think it's an investment.
To apply
1) Shake the tube, and squeeze a small dot of product onto your finger.
2) Dot it 3 times across your cheekbones, once or twice on your nose, and apply a miniscule dot on your cupids bow.
3) Then blend.  Do not rub the product to blend, but pat it gently back and forth until it is completely blended.
You will notice that the areas in which you applied it will now look luminescent and give off a healthy glow!

Because of the fact that this highlighter has no glitter, if you want an all around soft, fresh, dewy look, you can mix a little bit with your tinted moisturizer or foundation and apply to your face.

This product is suitable for all skin types and colors, and contains so many good things for your skin, including polypeptides and extracts like Buddleja davidii which soothes your skin.  So not only does this make you look great, but it's good for you!

Conclusion
Size: 5/5
Price: 4.5/5
Packaging: 4.5/5

Color: 5/5
Consistency: 5/5
Over-all effect: 5/5
= 29/30

If you're looking for a highlighter that applies evenly, blends like a dream and gives you a beautiful luminescence sans glitter, i think that this is the highlighter for you.
A cheaper dupe is NARS Nico blush - I never thought I'd ever refer to a NARS product as a 'cheaper dupe' - which is a pressed powder rather then a liquid, but also gives a very luminescent finish.  I love Arbonne, and use a lot of their products on a daily basis.  All products are natural and cruelty free.  Arbonne cannot be purchased in stores, but through representatives and on the online website:  www.arbonne.com

  2. They're pretty similar as they both can be mixed with your foundation and aren't glittery. However, the arbonne highlighter is all natural and is actually good for your skin, so i feel better using it. I hope this some what answered your question. :) - Kels

  3. Hi ladies! I love this highlighter also. Actually, I am in love with all of Arbonne's products, and that is why I became an independent consultant.

I didn't want to try and come here as a "spammer", but I love sharing what Arbonne has done for me, and other people that I know. Our botanically-based, vegan-certified products do not have any harsh chemicals, and actually work! It decreased the redness in my face, and broken capillaries on my cheeks over 50% in just 2 months.

Arbonne's products are free of: parabens, mineral oils, talc, formaldehyde, sulfates, petrolatum, animal by-products or fillers, etc. They are NOT tested on animals. Yay! They are dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. They are all botanically-based, vegan-certified and GMO-free. Everything that I require in my beauty products nowadays. Between the food we eat, and the toxins in the air, we need to also be cautious in what we put on our bodies too.

Anyway, if anyone is intereted in trying a sample of the highlighter, or the awesome anti-aging RE9 skin care line, I would be happy to send it to you. Contact me at one of the addresses below.
