Hey everyone,
When deciding what kind of hairstyle you want to sport for prom, it is important to keep in mind the length and texture of your hair, as well as the style of your dress and the overall look you are trying to go for. A gorgeous updo is the perfect way to add a touch of elegance to your ensemble. That being said, today I'm going to share with you a few of my favourite updos for long hair!
Braids are very in this Spring, so many of the updos in this post feature some kind of braiding detail in them!
Just a quick anecdote, during my eighth grade graduation, i decided to simply wear my hair straight and down (I never straightened my hair, so this was something completely different for me). Anyway, during the ceremony I was fine, but after the ceremony when the dance part of the evening began, it was hot and sweaty on the dance floor and my hair quickly frizzed. I'm not going to get into the gory details, but by the end of the night, my hair was just a big mess. That is the exact reason I would recommend opting for an updo, as you won't have to worry as much about your hair getting in your way while you dance and ending up looking stringy and sweaty by the end of the night.

Hey! so my grade 8 grad is coming up and im having a hard time deciding what to do with my hair..i read your story about your grad and i laughed! i also took into account that i shouldnt leave my hair down...but i have NO clue what kinda of updo..My hair is dark and its just past my shoulders..Help?!
