NOTD: Chanel le Vernis - 483 Vendetta

Hey everyone!
With Fall just around the corner, i thought that now was the time to start stocking up on deeper toned varnishes for Fall/Winter.  Although it's still August, i've found myself reaching for the beautiful Vendetta, a vampy, eggplant purple with tons of red micro glitter in it.

On my nails, i have 2 coats of Vendetta, and OPI top coat.

The first coat gave pretty opaque coverage.  Upon applying a second coat to gain maximum opacity, the color deepened to a vampy purple with navy undertones, and i found that the glitter was hard to see unless in direct sunlight.

This is a color that is very hard to photograph on the nails, in about half the photographs i took the color turned out looking tar black.

Chanel nail varnishes retail for approximately $25 US each for 13 ml or 0.4 FL. OZ, so they are quite expensive.  Especially if you consider that OPI has a large range of similar colors for only $11-13 for 15 ml of varnish.  However, i think that Vendetta is a really unique color, and something that i'll wear quite often throughout the Fall/Winter months, so i think that it was worth the investment.

In conclusion, i love this color and the Chanel nail varnishes in general, so if you're willing to part with the money, i recommend picking this one up, for sure.  & The first picture was a little sneak peek at my nail polish collection, you probably noticed that the tops of all of my OPI and Essie polishes have been painted.  If you want a post explaining why they're like that and about my collection and proper storage and all that good stuff, leave a comment below letting me know!

Have a great day!
